For me, art is a path to self-discovery and inner peace. Embracing creativity is a liberating experience that expands my awareness and allows me to rediscover the connection and unity that exists within and around us. Painting, in whatever technique, is an expression of the soul – a reflection of deep emotions, dreams, and desires.
In my works, I distill and explore social, political, and philosophical themes. Shapes and colors become messengers of the soul. When I discovered painting, I realized that the creative state resembles meditation – a process of self-reflection and an experience of boundlessness and unity.
The joy I feel when viewers intuitively understand my art is especially meaningful to me. I believe all creative individuals have access to a unique creative sphere. The diversity of artistic expressions and perspectives enriches the world in countless ways.
I am fascinated by the synthesis of different cultures, their creativity, and craftsmanship, as well as the essential questions of existence. For me, art represents a shared experience, a peaceful coexistence of life forms, and an awareness of our commonalities. A nature-connected and healthy lifestyle is central to this idea – always guided by listening to the heart.
Art is my path to self-fulfillment. Through colors and shapes, I unlock new layers of my inner self. Art, particularly painting, has profoundly influenced my life and made me realize that creativity is my calling. This awareness has led me to actively use art to shape my life and manifest inner states.
Whether in painting, sculpture, or photography, my works reflect emotional worlds and visualize philosophical and spiritual questions. The creative journey is a constant awakening and a way to make my thoughts and feelings tangible.
Biography
Mehdi Oveisi, born in 1972 in Tehran, Iran. His artistic journey began with an exploration of painting from deep within his subconscious and was enriched by encounters with masters of miniature painting and modern art. These experiences shaped his creative path and laid the foundation for his artistic future.
In 1984, he left Iran for an adventurous youth in France. Immersed in an extraordinary environment, he discovered new artistic visions. The vibrant French contemporary art scene gave him a clear vision of how to pursue his creative path. Later, for personal reasons, he relocated to Germany. At just 15 years old, this transition posed significant challenges, but he remained determined to achieve his earliest and most influential vision.
Graduating as a Master of Textile Design from the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart (ABK Stuttgart) in 2003 marked a pivotal milestone. During this period, he developed a profound passion for the boundless world of colors and materials. Following two years in the automotive industry as a designer, he transitioned to the fashion world in 2006, taking on the role of Design and Development Manager.
Since 2018, Mehdi Oveisi has worked as a product designer in the luxury and hypercar sector, blending his artistic skills with technical expertise.
Alongside his professional journey, he has consistently nurtured his artistic expression. Working across various techniques and media such as painting, sculpture, and photography, he brings his creative visions to life. These works are currently showcased on his website.
